In-Person Workshop Facilitators in Brampton

We are looking for facilitators to deliver our Write It Workshops for children aged 8-14 years at Brampton Public Libraries at these locations:
- Brampton Public Library - South Fletcher's Branch
- Address: 499 Main St S, Brampton
- Date: Sunday, April 13
- Time: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
- Brampton Public Library - South West Branch
- Address: 8405 Financial Drive, Brampton
- Date: Sunday, April 6, May 4, June 1
- Time: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Your role and responsibilities are to:
- Deliver the Write It Workshop lesson plan to grades 4-8 students.
- Work with other volunteers during the delivery of the workshop.
- Attend an online training session with other volunteers.
- Collect feedback and comments from. participants to be used for social media sharing.
- Provide feedback to the workshop manager.
What we're looking for:
- A Vulnerable Sector Check is required from the local police.
- Excellent communication skills that are effective with children.
- Engaging and positive interactions with children that maintain their attention.
- Patience working with students of diverse. backgrounds and levels of understanding.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with organization co-ordinators and other peers.
- Teaching experience is an asset.

Volunteer Commitment: You will be required to attend an online training to learn the workshop materials. You’ll need to arrive half an hour before the start of the workshop to set up and meet the other volunteers you’ll be working with.
Virtual Workshop Facilitator
Are you eager to ignite a passion for literacy in young minds? We’re looking for volunteers to deliver our Write It Workshops on Zoom, aimed at children aged 8-14, for these dates. Be a part of our vibrant team and make a real difference!
Your Role:
- Inspire and Educate: Conduct an engaging Write It Workshop Series on Zoom for kids aged 8-14.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside other dedicated volunteers in delivering a memorable workshop experience.
- Training and Growth: Participate in an online training session with your peers to hone your skills.
- Feedback Loop: Gather valuable participant feedback for social media and provide insights to the workshop manager.

Commitment:
- Each series includes five 1-hour workshops, scheduled on Saturdays at 1 pm or 2 pm.
- Your commitment: Facilitate at least two series (10 workshops) annually.
- Online training: We provide all lesson plans, workshop activities
- For high school students: Earn 1.5 hours per workshop plus 5 hours for training and prep.
